16 apartments coming to Chicopee
The Chicopee City Council approved preliminary plans for a 16 unit apartment building on the site of a former Masonic Temple (more recently a thrift store) that burned down in 2017.
The vote was 12-0 and while one resident spoke against adding apartments to the city, the council acknowledged that Chicopee, like the rest of Massachusetts, has a housing shortage.
